I've had a couple of emails from newcomers to the Sydney Blues about Derby Day on Wednesday, so I thought I'd add a few more details.
The bar is technically closed... well not closed, but they don't go out of their way to advertise that they're open. The front doors will usually be shut — just knock on the door and say you're there for the City game and you'll be sorted.
I know it's very early in the morning, but there's no reason we can't bring the same atmosphere to the night matches. Bring your singing voice! If you need to knows the words of a song, just ask, we have a lyric sheet available (which is available for download here).
I'll be trying to take as much video as I can of the day, to put the finishing touches on our entry for the Etihad competition. If someone could assist with this it would be most appreciated.
It's a big day Derby Day, and I really hope we can get a good turnout, despite being in the early morning. You might even make it to work on time...
Come on you Blues!
