According to latest reports, everyone's favourite Marlon Wayans (and professional footballer) impersonator, Jo, is said to be the target of five (count 'em!) separate football clubs. Yes, to actually play football for them...
The 23-year-old Jo — full name: For Fuck's Sake Jo — was thought to be on the radar of Greek giants Olympiakos, however this has been denied by his agent.
"There is no option for Jo to go to Greece," said the luckiest Mister-Ten-Percenter in the business, much to the relief of Olympiakos fans worldwide.
"Jo has five offers right now from clubs outside of England but he doesn't want to leave."

I can only assume that Bobby Manc is afflicted with a similar condition to that of Jack Black in 'Shallow Hal'. However, rather than becoming smitten with a grossly obese woman — Don Roberto has fallen head over heels for a (alleged) Brazilian (alleged) footballer, who was once deemed surplus to requirements at Everton and Galatasaray. Yes, the same Everton that once paid Lucas Neill a weekly wage.
In other news, City's fifth-choice left back, Wayne Bridge, is apparently set to decide which claret-and-blue clad Premier League club he'd like to relegate — with both West Ham and Aston Villa interested in signing the only man who uses his left foot for both accelerating and braking.
I think you're being harsh on Jo. And not harsh enough on Wayne Bridge.
ReplyDeleteJo is still a young man. His spell at Everton stopped him from being a cry-baby. He's beefed up, but still not quite up to the frenetic pace of english football. He's no longer a gangly dancing plant like Samaras, and he's a bit quicker.
Live Vassel, he keeps being picked when you assume he's finished at City. I think he'll come good, and at least he'll allow rotation to give our other players a rest. He's a good target man, and actually tracks back to defend.
His style is now half english, half brazillian. Just not the halves that you would want.

ReplyDeleteI too think you are being harsh on Jo. Clearly needs a few more lessons as to what to do in front of goal, but none on supporting the front men from the defence. Perhaps Bridge needs some in reverse !!

ReplyDeleteI was at the game yesterday and I lost count on the amount of times I called him by his full name. Untapped potential maybe, but not in this league. Maybe a good target man but he's bleeding useless for anything else.
Shame because there have been times when he's shown some decent talent in the past but he's too inconsistant. He need's to go. I wish For Fuck Sake Jo all the best wherever he goes (thats if ever he decides to fuck off that is)
Everyone knows that the only reason Mancini has been playing Jo was to prove to the management that he needed to buy another Striker. Now that we have finally sealed the deal with Dzeko we will never see Jo playing again. That is the only logical explanation for ever having Jo on the field

Jo was spotted by Mancho in the Inter - CSKA Moskow Champions league games which he scored two fantastic goals.
